The Volunteer India Programme  is a unique opportunity offering a fascinating grassroots experience whilst allowing volunteers to further their professional development. This is once in a lifetime experience.

Volunteering is a potential tool for community development and sustainability. Volunteering doesn’t have to involve a long-term commitment or take a huge amount of time out of your busy day. Giving in even simple ways can help those in need and improve your health and happiness.

As a volunteer or an intern at RUCHI, typical activities during the course of a day will include interaction with RUCHI staff, learning Hindi, teaching English, field trips to villages working on projects in partnership with RUCHI, studying methods of water management, working on farms with farmers, workimng with children, health education, plights of rural women at local level, digital empowerment, understanding issues concerning Global warming & Climate Change to name a few and use your creative skills to find low cost solutions to address local needs.

A volunteer can contribute in terms of their enthusiasm and skills to help fulfill the goals set out for community   development. The placement may range from one week to one year and is open throughout the year. All our structured short term and long term projects are available on our website under VOLUNTEERING page.
